The short version
Privacy
Party Tracker has no accounts, no ads and no tracking cookies. It stores what you and your party put into it, so the party page can show it, plus anonymous visit counts. Last updated October 21, 2026.
What's stored
- Your party's name and the names members choose for themselves.
- Heroes: names, class, race, spec, realm, and what the addon syncs (level and level-up dates, time played, zone, dungeons entered, talents, professions and gear).
- What members post: chat messages, forum threads and replies, crafting orders, and run sign-ups.
- The activity feed and notifications those create. Chat keeps the last 300 messages, the feed the last 200 entries.
- A Discord webhook address, if the party leader adds one.
Cookies and your browser
- One cookie per party you're in, holding the key that signs you in. It's needed for the site to work, isn't used for anything else, and lasts up to 400 days. The database only keeps a scrambled (hashed) copy of the key.
- Your browser remembers which chat messages you've seen, so the unread badge is right. This never leaves your browser.
- Sign-in codes for other devices work once and are deleted after 10 minutes.
Visit counts
Vercel Web Analytics counts page views so we can see which pages get used. It sets no cookies and builds no profile, and the same visitor can't be recognized from one day to the next. Before a page view is counted, the private parts of the address (party, hero and forum IDs, invite and login codes) are replaced with placeholders, so analytics only ever sees addresses like /p/[party]/runs.
IP addresses
To stop abuse, the site counts how often an address creates parties or tries sign-in codes. Those counters delete themselves after 15 minutes to 24 hours. The hosting provider also keeps short-lived request logs.
Who else is involved
- Vercel hosts the site (the server runs in Frankfurt) and counts visits.
- Upstash hosts the database, also in Frankfurt.
- Wowhead serves the class and item icons and the item tooltips, so your browser contacts their servers on pages that show them.
- Discord receives party updates (like level-ups and new heroes) only if the party leader connects a webhook.
- Ko-fi, only if you click the link to support the site.
Nothing is sold or shared for advertising.
The addon and the sync app
The addon never goes online; WoW doesn't allow it. It saves its data in your WoW folder until you paste it here or the sync app uploads it. The sync app keeps your sync code on your PC and checks this site for updates.
Deleting your data
- Leaving a party (or being removed) deletes your membership, your heroes and your notifications.
- Disbanding a party deletes everything in it.
- You can delete your own heroes, chat messages and forum posts at any time.
For anything else, contact the site owner through Ko-fi.
